Leavenworth, WA, November 16, 2007 - The City of Leavenworth’s official website greets you: "Herzlich Willkommen." The translation is "You are Most Certainly Welcome". Leavenworth, incorporated in 1906, is known as Washington’s Bavarian Village. It is a great tourist destination. The City of Leavenworth is surrounded by mountain peaks that rise more than 8000 feet and hosts Washington State’s oldest festival – the famous Autumn Leaf Festival.
